Why should I support indietainment.org?

We derive a wealth of smug satisfaction from driving a stake through the heart of corporate media.   Alas, we live in a world where everything costs money.  The domain name, the web host, the internet service, the software – we pay for that stuff out of our  lint-encrusted indie pockets.  Not only that, but while we are maintaining indietainment.org we are not waiting tables, administrative assisting, taking support calls, manning box offices, or any one of the dozens of things we could be doing to accommodate ourselves in the style to which we have become accustomed.

What will indietainment.org do with my donation?

We’ll blow it on yachts, Mediterranean holidays and Washington lobbyists who will fight to constrain your civil liberties!  Just kidding – that’s the MPAA.   We simply want to pay our staff, who volunteer their time to keep this site up to date.   There’s nothing that would please us more than for indietainment.org to become the definitive internet resource for anyone who is serious about boycotting content produced by the supporters of internet censorship legislation.  Your donation will help us get there faster.

I don’t want to use PayPal.  Is there something else I can do?

Yes! You can directly benefit our staff by purchasing their self-published work (stay tuned for detailed contributor biographies.)  Better yet, you can purchase it, rate and review it.  If you like it, tell all your friends.  (If you don’t like it, keep it to yourself.  Nobody likes a whiner).  You can also participate by sending content, reviews, press releases or tips to editor {at} indietainment.org.

Why not buy us a beer?
